How to Test Wooden Cutlery Samples Before a Bulk Order
A wooden fork can look right in a catalogue and feel wrong with your actual meal. Before placing a bulk order, test samples in the conditions your customers will experience.
Start with your menu
Try each utensil with the food it will serve. Can the fork pick up the dish? Does the knife handle the firmest item on the menu? Is the spoon comfortable for the portion and container depth? Use the same meal and serving temperature when comparing samples.
Check finish and consistency
Examine several pieces under good light. Look for rough edges, splinters, cracks, uneven shapes, and unusual odor. Run a finger along the areas customers will touch. Photograph any problem and record the product code so the supplier can identify the sample.
Test the final pack
Put the cutlery into your real takeaway bag, meal box, or retail pack. Check the fit, component count, and ease of opening. Match the documents
